Pietra di Bismantova

Winter or Summer

The Irregular Apennine peaks mark the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany and in the middle of these peaks sits the giant eye-catching Bismantova, a magnificent sandstone plateau standing proud for all to see. Bismantova's structure is a breathtaking symbol of the whole region, popular with climbers and walkers alike, with the highest point of the summit being 1047 m above sea-level. At the top of the Pietra di Bismantova, is a 12,000m2 plateau, covered by a thin soil layer of grass and scrubby vegetation.
